    Version 1.1.2: Content and Features: Added support for checkpointing. When you die in a non-hardcore league, you can choose between reviving in town or reviving at the last checkpoint. Checkpoints are made when you enter new areas or use internal teleporters within an area. Added a new corrupted Skill Gem - Vaal Storm Call: Sets a marker at a location. While the marker remains, lightning strikes random enemies near it, dealing damage to them. After a short duration, a large bolt of lightning strikes the marker, dealing damage around it. When this happens, it will also set off the lightning at any other markers from this skill. Added a new Intelligence skill - Glacial Cascade: Icicles emerge from the ground in a series of small bursts, each damaging enemies caught in their area. Glacial Cascade is first available to the Witch, Templar, Shadow and Scion from "The Caged Brute" in Normal difficulty. Added a new Dexterity/Intelligence Support Gem - Block Chance Reduction: This is a recipe-only support gem intended to have a PVP focus. It reduces the chance to block or spell block supported skills. Added five new Unique items, four of which were designed by our supporters. One of the new Uniques is a map. Added two new cosmetic microtransactions: Seraph Weapon Effect and Seraph Footprint Effect. New recipes have been added for the Block Chance Reduction Support Gem, and the new low level quiver unique. The recipe for Cartographer's Chisels has been extended. Ground Slam's visual effect has been updated. 3d art has been added for the following items: Atziri's Splendour, Rearguard, Drillneck and the alternate art Blackgleam. Added two new achievements: "Hostile Territory" and "Behold My Army". Introduced two new Rogue Exiles: a Templar and a Scion. Introduced two new Invasion Bosses into the pool of Invasion Bosses. Added a new Map Mod - Antagonist's: Rare Monsters each have a Nemesis mod. Several corrupted secret area bosses and Invasion bosses have new visual effects. Flamebearers in the Sceptre of God now have a new golden skin. Balance: Substantially rebalanced Invasion bosses, including changing their abilities. Many of the more extreme ones are now easier. Corrupted secret area bosses and Rogue Exiles were also updated in this process. Arc and Vaal Arc have had their damage increased by 60%. Arc and Vaal Arc can now no longer chain back to the same target immediately, but must now bounce one more time. Arc now increases in chain counts as the gem increases in level. Poison Arrow's damage has been increased by 8% at level 1, scaling up to an increase of 75% at level 15 of the gem. Reduced Cleave penalty from -30% to -20%. Shockwave Totem's pulses have been sped up from 0.75 seconds to 0.60 seconds each. Arctic Breath's damage has been increased by 42% at level 1, up to an increase of 95% at level 15. Flesh Offering now grants 30% attack, movement and cast speed at level 1, up to 40% at level 21 of the gem. Glacial Hammer now has specific PvP raw scaling, so that it does 30% less damage in PvP situations. This is on top of existing PvP scaling. Smoke Mine no longer teleports your minions with you when detonated. Monster versions of Molten Shell now require more damage to set off at higher levels. The "of Fracturing" map mod now gives 30% additional quantity and has been made rarer. Undying Evangelists now appear less frequently within their packs. Undying Evangelists' Proximity Shields have a shorter duration, and they use it less often. Atziri now removes curses correctly when she enters her mirror phase. Increased the drop rate of rare Vaal Fragments. Reduced the drop rate of Vaal Orbs. Some Rogue Exiles now use Vaal skills. Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug where using Desecrate in the Eternal Laboratory in the Invasion League would generate different monster corpses than in other leagues. Fixed a bug where Chain and Fork did not work correctly with Vaal Power Siphon. Fixed a bug where Dominus in the Palace Map did not correctly trigger his monster spawners when entering his second phase. Fixed a bug where aura skills linked with totems and trigger gems could be cast manually in addition to being triggered. Fixed a bug where Demigod's Bounty had no vendor sell price. Fixed a bug with Strongbox monster spawning where some monsters would fail to be created. Claw Nodes in the Shadow and Ranger areas have had their art corrected. Fixed a bug where Exiles that were supposed to have the Resolute Technique Keystone were not always hitting. Fixed a bug in Capture the Flag where, if a player died while converted, he would resurrect on the wrong team. Unset Ring's 2D Art has been corrected to not be the same as that of the Voideye unique. Fixed a bug where you could not get to The Desecrated Shrine in Descent races. Fixed a bug where Sarn Arena announcements did not attribute minion kills correctly. Fixed various issues with the sync and functionality of Atziri's Flameblast.

    Version 1.1.1: Atziri's Influence Grows Stronger: Piece by piece, Wraeclast bows to its new monarch. The lovely Atziri, Queen of Sacrifice. As Wraeclast bleeds, Atziri's thirst only grows. Added a new corrupted Skill Gem - Vaal Summon Skeletons: Summons an army of skeletal warriors, archers and mages, led by a powerful general. Added a new corrupted Skill Gem - Vaal Glacial Hammer: Hits the enemy, converting some of your physical damage to cold damage. It traps the enemy with you in a circle of ice so that it can't escape. Vaal Orbs can now generate more corrupted implicit mods than before. Players are now 20% more likely to encounter a Corrupted Secret Area. Rarer Vaal Fragments are now more likely to drop. Content/Features: Added two new Unique items, both designed by our supporters. Added two new cosmetic microtransactions: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJjO9T800bg]Guardian Mask Helmet Skin[/ame] and [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vAI0UNO9zE]Arctic Ice Nova Spell Effect[/ame]. Added two new achievements: Vaal Gemling (have a Vaal gem reach level 20) and Full Spectrum (corrupt an item to have a white socket). Added a new vendor recipe. Added a new Map Mod - Anarchic: Map contains two extra Rogue Exiles. When a player is slain in the Sarn Arena, the kill is now announced locally with both character names shown. Improved zombie dismemberment. More Invasion bosses have distinct visual indicators. Balance Changes: Substantially rebalanced Invasion bosses, including changing their abilities. Many of the more extreme ones are now easier and some of the weaker ones are harder. We've changed the behaviour of bosses that used to be able to kill you before you saw them. Some Corrupted Secret Area bosses were updated in this process also. Increased the quantity and rarity of items dropped from Corrupted Secret Area and Invasion bosses. Invasion bosses which are harder than average now drop increased rewards in higher difficulties based on their level of challenge. Fixed a problem where Flameblast was accidentally buffed heavily in 1.1.0. Based on feedback on the insane version, we then buffed the pre-1.1.0 version by 48% on purpose in this patch. If you use a skill that causes a projectile spiral (like Vaal Fireball) from inside an enemy, then only the first projectile can collide with the enemy now. Increased the quantity bonus on the of Fracturing Map mod from 21% to 27% and reduced the chance of this mod spawning. Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug where monsters could spawn on small islands in the rivers inside caves. Fixed a bug where Orbs of Chance would be consumed without effect when used on Map Fragments. Fixed a bug related to Blood Elementals playing the emerge animation at the wrong time. Fixed a bug where the Imperial Gardens occasionally generated in an incompletable state. Fixed a bug where a player was able to walk to the edge of a level. Corrected the name of the Life and Mana node in the Witch starting area of the passive tree. Fixed a bug where it was possible for monsters to become stuck in the Neglected Cellar. Fixed a problem where Vaal Vessels in the Vaults of Atziri could drop items that were impossible to pick up. Removed an unfinished skill from an Invasion boss. Fixed a bug that could cause the Corrupted Secret Area attached to The Southern Forest to be inaccessible. Fixed a bug where monsters could spawn in bad locations in The Docks. Fixed a bug where the Strongbox mod that drops additional magic or rare items would have no effect on Maps. Fixed a bug that could cause monsters spawned by the Strongbox stream-of-monsters mod to behave strangely. Fixed a bug where Jeweller's Orbs would not prevent you rerolling an item that had more sockets than it naturally could have at that itemlevel, due to dropping from a Strongbox with the increased sockets mod.

Warning: Nightblade mastery has experienced some significant revisions which may result in loss of skill points and/or an invalid skill point assignment Art: Added Icon for the Inventor. Updated HUD with new design and animated resource bars. Updated In-game UI (Character sheet, smuggler, vendors, etc) Updated Act 1 House Textures Tech: Added codex page to the quest log window to store collected notes. Added in world item comparison tooltips. (Hold Alt and hover over an item on the ground) Added "move" keybinding. Press and hold to move to the location of the mouse cursor. Added "force move" keybinding. Hold to prevent targeting of enemies and objects. Added gender support for localizations. Added pet icons for aggressive/normal/defensive states. Added the World map to the Local Map UI, which has been resized. Added a larger minimap toggle to the top right of the screen which displays a larger area. Components can now be combined regardless of whether you meet the level requirements or not. Fixed a bug where the hotbar would fail to reload correctly when it contained multiple skills of the same type. Fixed a bug where skills on the hotbar would fail to work if a component was moved between items. Fixed a bug where enemies would get up incorrectly after being knocked down. Fixed a bug where skills which target in an arc would fail to hit additional enemies. Fixed a bug where monster pets would display incorrect death behavior when the master was killed. Fixed a bug where npc quest punctuation would be updated incorrectly. Fixed a bug where monsters were unable to resummon pets in a timely manner. Fixed a bug where mouse clicks could be registered by windows behind the skill pick area. Fixed a bug where pet skills would display incorrect pet stats for the skill level. Fixed an issue with Physique and Spirit from mastery not granting additional Health/Energy, respectively. Game: Some one-shot chests have been removed in Act 1 Rare and Epic drop rates have been improved on bosses and heroes Hero spawn rates have been increased The experience formula has been adjusted to scale better into the higher levels. You may notice existing characters suddenly gaining a level or two. You'll now get a small experience bonus for collecting lore objects / notes Adjusted mastery life per level to account for fix to physique life bonus. Total life is still a bit higher for each class. The Strange Key now grants a short quest reminding you to use it. Consequently, this means the key will stop dropping after you open the door. Characters that already opened the door will stop getting more keys to drop if they loot a key. The Inventor finally received that voice surgery she desperately needed Challenge areas: Some side dungeons meant to be especially challenging can now have a level offset, so that they spawn enemies and loot as though the player were higher level. Spawns will still be capped at a min/max for that area if the player is above or below that range. Example: Player is level 20, dungeon has offset of +2, it will spawn enemies and loot as though the player were level 22. A new hero archetype has been added: Frozen. This type of hero is mostly prevalent in Act 2, though you may encounter it in Act 1 as well. Giant Mosquitos, Wasps, Spiders and Harpies are now easier to target with ranged abilities. Nightblade: Shifted some mastery bonuses in favor of life to increase durability. Nightblade: Increased protection on phantasmal armor Nightblade: Increased frostburn damage on nightchill Nightblade: Slight boost to shadow dance's avoid attacks / projectiles and changed +%OA to +%DA Nightblade: Increased bleed on heart seeker and added %pierce. Nightblade: There is a new tier 1 melee attack called Lethal Gambit and corresponding tier 4 modifier, Amarasta's Blade Burst. It occupies the space Blade Trap was previously. Nightblade: Blade trap now has a radius effect, trapping the target and any adjacent enemies. The new more powerful version has taken Blade Swarm's place. Nightblade: Blade Swarm removed from mastery to make way for Lethal Gambit. Blade Swarm didn't fit well as it was a little too casterish and also difficult to balance so that it wasn't either useless or outclassed other skills. Nightblade: Belgothian's Sheers now causes 1.5s stun to enemies. Nightblade: Dual Blades is now a passive skill (as opposed to weapon pool with chance to proc) that enables dual wield and provides a constant pierce / %pierce bonus. Nightblade: Pneumatic Burst heal scaling increased slightly and pierce / %pierce replaced with %total dmg since the former was redundant with the new Dual Blades. Nightblade: Nightfall and Phantasmal Blades have each been moved up a tier as part of the restructuring. Soldier: Increased energy cost for blitz and forcewave, reduced %wpn dmg to forcewave. Soldier: Inreased starting damage on forcewave Soldier: Adjusted Markovian's Advantage to provide higher initial damage with absolute physical and a flat weapon damage %. Soldier: Reduced duration of regen on Will to Live by 1s. Soldier: Reduced scaling on Military Conditioning and Decorated Soldier. Occultist: Shifted some acid dmg from Blood Burst into poison. Occultist: Increased pet health slightly. Occultist: Reduced life steal on Sigil of Consumption. Demolitionist: Shifted % weapon dmg from fire strike to explosive strike so that the radius damage would benefit from it. In place, firestrike gains % physical dmg. Demolitionist: Increased speed of all projectiles. Demolitionist: Grenado cool-down reduced by .5s and radius increased slightly. Demolitionist: Blackwater Cocktail energy cost increased and damage slightly reduced. Demolitionist: Mastery bonuses shifted a bit in favor of life / physique to make class a little less squishy. Demolitionist: Increased health regen on Vindictive Flame. Demolitionist: Stun Jacks cooldown reduced from 3s to 2.5s Demolitionist: Added 50% chance of 1.5s stun to Cannister Bomb. Demolitionist: Added a small slowing component to Flashbang. Weapon Damage: Increased rate at which base weapon damage scales up. Enemies: adjustments to life and base physical damage 2h Guns: Increased damage to a level more befitting the 2-hand requirement. The following components had their stats adjusted: Aether Soul, Arcane Lens, Arcane Spark, Dread Skull, Hollowed Fang, Mark of Illusions, Mark of the Myrmidon, Restless Remains, Shard of Beronath, Spellwoven Threads Guardsman's Spaulders' Will to Live granted skill has been rebalanced and renamed New Epic gloves have been added to the 10-20 range (Embergrip Handguards) New Epic sword has been added to the 10-20 range (Willie's Razor) Slightly reduced run speed bonuses on items Chance on effects on some rare affixes have been shifted around so that loot will never generate two skill procs on one item Affixes affected by this change are: Devastating, Survivalist's, Overseer's, of Fury, Houndmaster's, Sandstorm, Glacial, Thunderstruck 7 new rare affixes were added to accommodate these shifts v0.2.3.4 (b17 - Hotfix) Art: New Nightblade "Lethal Gambit" skill animation New Nightblade "Blade Barrier" skill animation Vulture now have a new "Vomit" skill and animation. Tech: Fixed a pathing bug where opening doors which made them impassible. Fixed a bug where doors could sometimes be used at too large a range. Fixed a locale bug when using localization string recapitalization. Fixed a bug where skills could experience an excessive delay when firing. Weapon based attack skills (Lethal Gambit/etc) now use the default weapon attack when cooling down. Fixed a bug where RMB assigned skills could be re-fired when performing other actions. Fixed a bug where objects with attached fx would disappear on the edges of the player view frustum. Fixed a bug where ranged weapon hits were causing weak physics behavior. Added dutch font set (fonts=NL). Removed "item comparison" option (now always shown). Added "auto item tooltips" option. Enables automatically showing item tooltips for in world items. Removed show loot/filter broken keybind. Added show item tooltips keybind. NPC Dialog sounds now use the dialog volume level rather than soundfx volume. Friendly pets are no longer targetable when not using the target pet keybind. Fixed a bug where npc merchants could generate the same items. Fixed a bug where destructibles would drop unseeded items. Fixed an issue with one-shot chests that would cause them not to drop a guaranteed Epic (this issue was new in the 30+ level range) Game: Updated epic item loot tables. The level range scaled poorly into the 40's, resulting in level 20 epics dropping from level 45 monsters. Updated spirit requirements on rings and necklaces, reducing them by 20-30%, particularly at higher levels. Percent Physique, Cunning, Spirit, Offensive Ability and Defensive Ability bonuses on gear have been reduced. Absolute Offensive Ability and Defensive Ability on gear has been rebalanced. This primarily affects equipment of level 25 and above. Removed Offensive Ability affixes from Shield loot tables. With the exception of some uniques, shields will no longer generate Offensive Ability in their stats. This change is Not retroactive and only affects drops in B17 and beyond. Soldier: Increased %physical dmg on Decorated Soldier, while reducing %total damage on Squad Tactics. Demolitionist: Fixed an issue with Flashbang's Searing Light not working. The fumble component of the skill was rebalanced now that it actually works. Occultist: Hellhound's Hellfire Aura is now a radius buff with +%fire, +%burn and fire retaliation. Experience formula that determines how much experience is gained from killing enemies has been adjusted to slow down leveling. Based on the results, further adjustment may be required. This change shouldn't affect current character levels. Fixed an imbalance in the Regenerator hero archetype which caused it to regenerate too fast for most builds to handle. Fixed an issue with the Sunken Reliquary where the boss room was inaccessible. Fixed an issue with the Magistrate's Censor skill Fear not working and updates the skill's stats/name Fixed many other things!

    We're deploying Sacrifice of the Vaal tomorrow! The countdown on the site and game client indicates the time that the game servers will be up (which is 15 hours from the time of this post). We're taking the game servers down one hour beforehand. The website will be down for about 15 minutes at the start of that downtime, and available with the new passive tree for the 45 minutes after that. Players will also be able to patch during that hour. We have also made some additional changes to the update that are listed after the cut. Added the following patch notes: Increased the damage of Fireball at low and high levels. Increased the damage of the following skills at low levels: Spark, Cold Snap, Ice Spear and to a lesser extent, Freezing Pulse and Storm Call. Monster Unrighteous Fire now deals a controlled value of fire damage, rather than being based on maximum life. Improvements have been made to early cast speed passives in the Witch and Shadow sections and to early attack speed and life passives in the Shadow section. We're investigating more detailed revamps of the caster classes (Witch, Templar and Shadow) in the future. Adjusted the PVP scaling of Righteous Fire and Searing Bond. These have only been conservatively adjusted. A more thorough adjustment to PVP scaling of skills will be ongoing throughout 1.1.x.
