Main Client Update Pushed Until Tomorrow

Due to some technical issues, today's update on the Main client is being pushed back until tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who helped out with testing on the Test client and we'll see you tomorrow!

Chinese Beta starting 28th April

Dota fans from China rejoice as Perfect World has just announced the launch date for Dota 2 beta in China. The first wave of beta invites for China's localized version of Dota 2 will be released on the 28th of April.

Do note that China's version of Dota 2 will not use Valve's popular game distribution platform, Steam. It is currently unknown whether the Chinese servers will be seperated from the rest of Valve's server or they will be interconnected.

According to GosuGamers, China will use a stripped down version of Steam solely for Dota 2 and will still be interconnected.

Gosugamers has received information that Perfect World's new client will not be separated from Steam. Instead, the new client will be a smaller version of Steam and made mostly for Dota 2. It was reported that this is due to Steam's slow updates in China.

Our sources told us that Chinese players will most likely be able to connect to the South East Asian server to participate in tournaments.

CHANGELOG

- Chat wheel isn't prevented when communication banned.

- Fixed bug allowing more than the maximum reports/commends per week.

- Allow chat in private/tournament lobbies while communication banned.

- Players are now notified how much time is remaining on the communication ban.

- Fixed server stability issue that was resulting in a reduced number of servers and long wait times.

- Fixed issue where heroes were not displaying in the Loadout panel when using some items.

- Workshop panel updates the hero and item models on import.

- Fixed an issue where some courier effects were not being loaded and displayed.

- Fixed an issue where Lina's Fiery Soul skin was incorrect.

All current communication bans have been lifted as of this update.

GAMEPLAY

- Enabled Drow and Tusk in Captain's Mode (Tournament Version).

- Enabled Bristleback, Slark and Skywrath Mage in Captain's Mode (Latest Version).

- Invoker: Fixed Cold Snap being purgable.

- Skywrath Mage: Fixed hitbox being too small.

- Slark: Fixed Shadow Dance giving Slark flying vision.

- Slark: Fixed Shadow Dance granting passive bonuses to Slark illusions.

- Slark: Fixed an issue causing Shadow Dance's passive modifier to not update in the UI, despite being active.

- Slark: Fixed Dark Pact continuing while Slark is dead.

- Slark: Essence Shift counters on both Slark and enemy heroes will show the total duration ( i.e. the time that the most recent stack will expire.)

- Slark: Fixed a number of incorrect spell interactions with Dark Pact.

- Slark: Fixed a number of horizontal movement ability interactions with Pounce.

- Troll Warlord: Fixed Berserker's Rage bonus damage not being applied as base damage.

- Tusk: Fixed Frozen Sigil not affecting magic immune units.

WORKSHOP

- Added HUD Skins to the Workshop Importer.

2 ακόμα ήρωες στο tournament CM (Drow, Tusk) και bug fixes. Οι 3 που μπήκαν τώρα στο απλό CM θα μπουν στο tournament την επόμενη εβδομάδα.

Με 5 καινούριους ήρωες στο pool ελπίζω να δούμε κάτι καινούριο στο meta που έχει μείνει λίγο στάσιμο αυτό τον καιρό (αν και υπάρχουν ομάδες που τολμούν το διαφορετικό άλλοτε με επιτυχία και άλλοτε χωρίς)

Ανακοινώθηκαν κάποιες πληροφορίες για το The International 2013

The International - Dota 2 Championships

Το main even θα πραγματοποιηθεί 7-11 Αυγούστου στο Seattle με 16 ομάδες να διαγωνίζονται για τον τίτλο.

13 ομάδες θα προσκληθούν από την Valve.

1η προσκλήθηκε η νικήτρια του περσινού τουρνουά Invictus Gaming. Οι προσκλήσεις για τις υπόλοιπες 12 θα σταλούν μέσα στις επόμενες 2-3 εβδομάδες.

Για τις 3 θέσεις που μένουν θα πραγματοποιηθούν 2 τουρνουά, West και East Qualifiers (13-19 Μαΐου και 20-26 Μαΐου αντίστοιχα). Οι νικητές του κάθε τουρνουά περνάνε κατευθείαν ενώ οι 2οι θα αγωνιστούν στο Seattle για την 16η και τελευταία θέση.

Σημειωτέον ότι όλα τα παιχνίδια του International θα μπορούμε να τα δούμε δωρεάν και ζωντανά μέσα από το client με περιγραφή από τους επίσημους casters.

Seems there were some issues with Elder Titan

- Elder Titan: Fixed Echo Stomp dealing magical damage first.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Echo Stomp not having an initial sleep period that is uninterruptable.

- Elder Titan: Fixed cancelling Echo Stomp while the Ancestral Spirit was active causing the Spirit to remain in the world.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Ancestral Spirit not having the correct vision.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Ancestral Spirit being able to move while Echo Stomping.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Ancestral Spirit returning at too quick of a speed.

- Elder Titan: Fixed the tooltip showing level 4 for all levels of Natural Order.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Natural Order working on Ancients.

- Elder Titan: Fixed Natural Order not working on magic immune units.

Ανακοινώθηκαν οι ομάδες που θα πάρουν μέρος στα Qualifiers

Για το West Qualifier οι 8 ομάδες θα χωριστούν σε 2 group των 4:

Οι 2 ομάδες που θα περάσουν από κάθε group θα κάνουν ένα 2ο group stage και οι 2 ομάδες από αυτό θα αγωνιστούν σε ένα best of 5 series για την θέση στο International. Όλοι οι αγώνες στα group stages θα είναι best of 3.

Θα γίνει πραγματική ΣΦΑΓΗ στο West Qualifier. Πολύ καλές ομάδες όλες και είναι σχεδόν αδύνατο να προβλέψεις νικητή.
