I liked this documentary and the art. However, the dark ages was ruled by religion (theocracy) when the Roman empire imploded. This set us back 1,000 years as a society because ancient text records in astronomy and architecture was destroyed if not mentioned in any religious text. We had to re discover how to make concrete, domes, and everything else religious leaders decided to destroy. Family Guy mentioned this in a skit, "if Christianity didn't exist". Religion is stupid, ruins everything.

The Roman empire lastet until 1453(Byzantium was the eastern part of the Empire). If you want to blame someone, blame the Romans who couldn't keep their shit together.

And please, learn history from somewhere else than Family Guy.
