Today, there is again something for your ears. Strictly speaking, the Pulse-R gaming headset from CM Storm. After I tested the CM Storm Havoc Gaming Mouse the last time, this time is another product from the gaming peripheral world of Cooler Master's on it s turn. That Cooler Master or their gaming subsidiary CM Storm can convince with its gaming peripherals yet has been shown often enough. But whether this also applies to the Pulse-R headset, I want to clarify with the following Review. The CM Storm Pulse-R comes in a rather chic and lavish packaging. The actual box is encased in a slipcase, where the various product information, the product itself and the specifications of the headset are shown. The hinged box makes a very good impression. If you fold them up, you will see the headset for the first time. Until now, does everything really have a good impression. The headset is very securely packaged so that it arrives without damage to the customer. You will receive this headset with detachable microphone, and also the detachable cable, including the cable control. Specifications: Headphones Driver: 42mm Frequency Response: 20Hz-20KHz Impedance: 50 Ω Connector: 3.5mm audio jack Cable length: 3m detachable cable Microphone Pick-up Pattern: Omni-Directional Frequency Response: 100 Hz - 10000 Hz Sensitivity: -42 ? 3dB (0dB = 1V/pa.1KHz) Signal to Noise Ratio: 60dB or more Detachable microphone: Volume control and Mic mute Unpacked also makes the CM Storm Pulse-R headset a good figure. First, an aluminum applications on the outside of the headphones attraced attention. These not only look good and give the headset a very high-quality impression, they can also be removed and you have the possibility of other side parts to assemble in various designs. But they also have a slightly negative effect on the weight of the headset, since the applications make the headset a little weighty. In the headband of the headphones, the CM Storm logo was incorporated. It is also padded and so even with several hours of wearing they never get disturbing. With the slots in the plastic, which share the view of the aluminum rail, also the strap fits perfectly in CM Storm's design concept for the Pulse-R, namely a slightly futuristic style. The ear cushions surround the ear completely, so ambient noise is very well damped. There is even the possibility to remove the cushion to clean it or replace it if damaged. Due to their dimension eyeglass wearers are here somewhat at a disadvantage, since the pad presses on the glasses, and after some time it will be uncomfortable. Cooler Master could, for example, create a softer cushion remedy. Otherwise, they are very comfortable to wear. The connections for the microphone as well as for the headset cable are as usual on the left. The microphone fits well with its silver elements in the style of the headset. The same applies to the cable control, which was even given a luminous bar. About the cable control you have the option to mute the microphone and adjust the volume. The volume control is infinitely variable and is very precise. Microphone and cable management are, as the headset itself, very well made. The slightly heavy weight of the CM Storm Pulse-R made me at the beginning of the test a little worried. After several hours now, however, i can say that it is very comfortable to wear and never really get disturbing. Only the problems with the ear pads are deceiving the picture. Had these little softer, even eyeglass wearers had the most fun with the CM Storm Pulse-R Now we come to the sound of the CM Storm Pulse-R. This can score with clear highs and a powerful bass. Only the middle could be a bit more pronounced here. The drivers do not make only at gaming a very good figure. Also, listening to music and watching movies is with the CM Storm Pulse-R fun. For some people the strong bass could be a bit too much, but this in my opinion is never in an exaggerated extent the case. Above all, action-packed games, or movies benefit greatly from it. Conclusion: CM Storm provides with the Pulse-R from a headset that can almost convince. The build quality is really top notch, the quality materials used and the driver very well built. For the estimated ? 70 you can do as a buyer here definitely nothing wrong since CM Storm Pulse-R Gaming Headset really has a lot to offer for the price. Just the little bit too pronounced midds, as well as the for eyeglass wearers to rigid ear pads could be split out as negative points.
