I was talking about smaller loops (shorter in time), so the bench will run for the same amount of time (let's say 5 minutes), on both low-end machines and next year's machines. From the results we got here, the bench needs 2 mins on a hi-end machine (c2d @ 3.6Ghz/8800gtx) and more than 30 minutes on a 3 year old laptop. How long will it take for the bench to complete on next year's machines? One minute or even less?
