Epox launches 945 based mobo for Conroe + CF!

Φαινεται οτι το 965 δεν θα υποστηρίζει CrossFire αλλα το υβριδικό 945 της epox θα υποστηριζει conroe και CrossFire με το παραπάνω...αλλα με καποια αλλα μειονεκτηματα οπως:

Epox 945P motherboard με CF!

Epox has unveiled a new motherboard that supports upcoming Intel Conroe Core 2 processors. The Epox 5P945-GLI is based on the last generation Intel 945P chipset and ICH7. This is unusual as Intel only sanctions Broadwater 96x and 975X chipsets as Conroe compatible. Nonetheless the board supports all other LGA775 processors from the Celeron D to the Pentium D with front-side buses of 533 MHz, 800 MHz, and 1066 MHz.

As with all other 945P based motherboards the 5P945-GLI supports DDR2-400/533/667 MHz. Those that want DDR2-800 MHz support will have to go with the upcoming 96x chipset. Memory support is limited to 2GB as the board only has two 240-pin DIMM slots available.

Two PCI Express x16 connectors are available, though one only has four PCI Express lanes routed to it. The two PCI Express x16 slots can operate in what Epox calls Graphics Link Interface mode. While it isnt mentioned the 5P945-GLI should support ATI CrossFire as the 945P is supported by the latest ATI Catalyst drivers. There are also three PCI slots for further expansion too.

The rest of the board is pretty standard with one parallel ATA, four SATA II ports, Realtek RTL8110SC Gigabit Ethernet, Realtek RTL8100C 10/100 Ethernet, and Realtek ALC65x AC97 audio.
