Αν κατάλαβα καλά , σύμφωνα με το κείμενο αυτό , θα γίνεται ο prescott 650 να μπεί σε κάποιες από τις υπάρχουσες μητρικές που υποστηρίζουν τους 5xx με ένα update στο bios ?

Πριν από λίγο καιρό , η intel ανακοίνωσε τη μη συμβατότητα των 64bit prescott με τις υπάρχουσες μητρικές.

Τελικά απάντηση δεν πήρα. Τι ακριβώς ισχύει , ξέρει κανείς?

Σημαίνει οτι ενώ ο επεξεργαστής είναι τεχνικά ο ίδιος απλά έχει ενεργά 64-βιτ extensions και πλασσάρεται σαν νέο προϊόν και φυσικά δε θα βγουν bios updates (ίσως υπάρχουν εξαιρέσεις) για τις υπάρχουσες μητρικές αφού θα θέλουν να πουλήσουν περισσότερα κομμάτια...

Kαι όμως η asus το έκανε το θαύμα της. Ευτυχώς που έχω asus μητρική.
