LD3520 1.UB QUIET

RIPLOCK enabled for quiet DVD playback on your PC. Please note, this will only playback slow on pressed DVDs. DVD-R and +R media will still play at full drive speed. This is a feature of the STOCK NEC firmware.

Both firmwares share the same strategy edits and speedups.

A Big thanks to Liggy for making his patcher compatible with the ND-3520A drive, and his Binflash flasher utility packaged with this firmware.

Thanks to TDB for the RPC1 patch

This firmware is only compatible with NEC ND-3520 and IO-DATA rebadge

DO NOT try and FLASH a ND-3500 or rebadges drive with this firmware.

Changes

Now supports PI/PIF Disc Quality Scanning with CD-Speed and DVDInfoPro

Now packaged with Binflash 1.16

PLEASE NOTE This firmware only supports Bitsetting on +R DL media at this time. If you require bitsetting for SL +R media, continue to use Version 1.UA

Όπως το βλέπω έχει τα speedups του 1.UA αλλά βασίζεται στο 3.04 και εχει δυνατότητα PIE/PIF scan. Οπότε δυνατότητα bitsetting σε SL +R δεν υπάρχει για την ώρα. Πάντως λειτουργεί πολύ σωστά.

Παλιοτερα υπηρχε και ο Quikee αλλα αυτος παρατησε το αθλημα και εδωσε στο 'λαο' μια εφαρμογη για να γραφει ο καθενας την δικια του writing strategy.

Να ναι καλα τα παιδια να βγαζουν φιρμ ... Ετσι ενημερωτικα η Dee ειναι γυναικα :) Καπου εχω και την φωτο της , ετσι για να ξερετε ποια κυρια μας προμηθευει αυτα τα ωραια firm....

This Update works only with NEC ND-3520A (retail & bulk) drives, not with OEM releases. OEM means part of a full PC package or external USB or FireWire variant of this burner. For OEM products contact directly your dealer, distributor or manufacturer of PC- or USB/ Firewire- package for service, support and firmwareupdates.

You can only update from Firmwareversion 1 .04. You can verify your current firmware with NERO InfoTool: http://www.nero.com

NEC ND-3500A most used drive

VSO-Software recently released a tool that submits information about the burns made with VSO applications. The information is anonymously sent to the VSO website and the use of it is optional and free. On a page on the VSO website you can find what kind of information is collected. Fortunately many VSO customers are using the tool and a lot of valuable information is gathered.

Unfortunately the numbers of many measurments are currently still too low to give statically correct information which is not strange if you imagine the amount of media and drives currently available. Fortunately the top ten of most popular drives is pretty stable, likwise to the top 5 of brands with the highest success ratio's. Also this time we have included the success ratio's.

The colored backgrounds and quality score are changed accordingly.

(Liteon drives) using K-Probe @4X scan speed or CD-DVD Speed (disc quality) @4X scan speed.

If scanning with a Benq drive. use CD-DVD Speed (disc Quality) @8X scan speed.

Thanks to Liggy, we hopefully have a fix for burning DL media. He managed to find some space in the firmware and added some assembler code to the firmware to allow this.

Verbatim DL Media speeded to 6X (Strategy import from 3540 firmware 1.01)

All other +R DL media speeded to 4X, each media now has its own write strategy and speedup. 2.4X uses the medias default strategy, the 4X section has been swapped from MKM001.

RITEK D01 has already been tested and works. The other medias should also burn.

Έχω και γω μια ερώτηση, βλακία κατά πάσα πιθανότητα, αλλά ερώτηση none the less...

Έχω το 3520 εσωτερικό αλλά το έχω σε εξωτερικό usb2 κουτάκι. Μπορώ να το φιρμάρω εκεί όπως είναι ή πρέπει να το βάλω μάστερ σε κάποιο ide κανάλι?

Πρεπει να ειναι περιπου 3-5 ωστε να εξασφαλισουν την αθορυβη λειτουργια του drive. Εχε υποψιν σου ομως οτι το rip lock ισχυει για τα original δισκακια. Στα αντιγραμμενα δεν εχει rip lock. Αυτο ειναι χαρακτηριστικο και των original F/W.
